Prepzfy collects only the data needed to run the platform and serve our members. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, who we share it with, and what control you keep over it. Written in human-readable English, not legalese.

We do not collect special categories of personal data (health, religion, political views, etc.). We do not knowingly collect data from minors under the age of 16.

03How long we keep your data

  • Member account data: as long as your account is active, plus 3 years after closure for accounting and legal obligations
  • Billing data: 10 years (French commercial law requirement)
  • Marketing email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 6 months
  • Cookies: maximum 13 months from collection, in accordance with CNIL recommendations

04Who we share your data with

We share your data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform. None of these providers are allowed to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

05International data transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area, primarily in the United States. In all such cases, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or providers certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

06Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right of rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right of erasure: request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations
  • Right of restriction: limit how we process your data
  • Right of portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object: oppose processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing
  • Right to withdraw consent: at any time, where processing is based on consent

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) at cnil.fr.

07Cookies

The website uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: required for the website to function (session, security, language preference). No consent required.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors interact with the site, anonymized where possible. Loaded only with your consent.
  • Functional cookies: set by third-party services such as Stripe (during checkout) and Brevo (for email tracking). Loaded only with your consent.

08Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access, and disclosure. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to internal data, and regular security reviews.

No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the CNIL within 72 hours, in accordance with article 34 of the GDPR.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version is always available at this URL. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the date of the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated to active members by email.
